RIP Serene Jacob

A.  "Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the Holy City, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband; and I heard a great voice from the throne saying, 'Behold, the dwelling of God is with men. He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them; He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain any more, for the former things have passed away."  --- Revelation 21:1-4

On behalf of IPF, our thoughts and prayers are with Serene's family during this difficult and trying time.  We will never forget.

New Interview!

A.  After 11 months, we're back!  Jarvis "Big Game" Thomas has been interviewed for The Tonight Show.  You know him as one of the captains of DCZ Finest.  But did you know he was once ranked the #1 Madden player in the world?  Welcome Home.

New BSC Media & More..

A.  Texas takes care of Gburg, and Brooklyn raises some eyebrows in Philly, perhaps a sign of things to come?  Enjoy.

B.  Super Bowl:  I was rooting for the Colts b/c of Peyton Manning, but its hard to argue against a team/city like New Orleans, when both have been through so much.  Sean Payton established himself as an elite coach, and Drew Brees did the same, as an elite QB.  There's a reason why this game is the greatest in the land!

C.  Best Super Bowl Commercial:  By far, it was Brett Favre.  Right when you've just about had enough of the guy, he does something to reel you back in.  Hilarious.

New Interview next Monday!  Keep it locked.

Random Notes about.....NOTHING

Ok I feel like I should say "Happy New Year Everyone!" but it is February already. But considering the fact that I haven't spoken with you all (and by you all I do mean the 2 or 3 of you that actually read my column) since June 19th, 2009, yup that's right the day before I got married. WOW has it really been over 7 months since that fatef...err...I mean glorious day!? Anyways I digress, it's my column and I'll do as I please! So that being said, "Happy New Years Everybody!"

Can't say that I have any great excuses or plausible reasons as to why it has taken me 7 months to write again. I mean truth is being married has kind of made me lazy...Ok to be honest I have to be open to the idea that I have always generally been predisposed to lazy-like tendencies, but marriage has definitely been a HUGE enabler! I have to assume that my wife is going to read this so I had better say something nice, "Being married is awesome!"

All joking aside, the past seven months have been a blast, may sound weird to say this but being married has been very educational. Think about, going from being single and living on your own, to have someone THERE everyday, come on that is LIFE ALTERING! AND I LOVE IT!

I was talking to a couple of my married buddies (all pretty much in the same boat as me, newlyweds) just a few hours ago and it was pretty interesting how we all have landed at the same conclusion: THIS IS PRETTY COOL. They, like me, wouldn't trade being married for another day of freedo...err...the single life if you gave us the option! I know I know, all you older wiser (and let's say hardened) married folk who have been doing this whole married thing for a while are rolling your eyes. Hey maybe I am just a starred eyed young pup who needs a few more years under my belt before I have earned the right to extol the virtues and wonder of marriage, but I say, "Whatever, I love being married and I love the very beautiful, wise woman that the Lord has blessed me with, and I am not afraid to say!"

(quick disclaimer guys: It is just about a week or so till Valentines Day and I'm really hope my wife sees this as a sufficient gift:) lets just hope she stop's reading before this disclaimer!

More next time guy's and gal's...

Peace I'm Out!

New Affiliate: MissionsEducationFund.org

A.  Make a difference.  IPF is proud to be affiliated with MissionsEducationFund.org.  A organization that is helping children around the world get an education that they otherwise, would have no chance to get.
