Week 17 Power Rankings by jonathan flores

Weekly Commentary | Power Rankings

1) New England (Hard to believe that this is the same team that got blown out 31-0 by Buffalo in week 1.)

2) Kansas City Chiefs (They defense could use some big improvements but with their offense the are still my #2 team.)

3) Philadelphia Eagles (Look for this team to reach the NFC championship game for the third straight year.)

4) St. Louis Rams (This is the team that scares me the most. I am predicting that they beat the Colts in the Super Bowl.)

5) Indianapolis Colts (Look for Payton Manning to have a big post season and lead his team to the Super Bowl.)

6) Tennessee Titans (Hopefully they can get McNair back in time for their game Saturday against Baltimore. Even at just 80% he is their MVP.)

7) Carolina Panthers (So we learned one thing this year, Stephen Davis can still run.)

8) Denver Broncos (Not really sure if they pose much of a threat in the playoffs, but they have had a nice turn around of their season.)

9) Baltimore Ravens (This team is kinda scary, they have a beast of a running back and a great defense. Don't be surprised if they win a game or two.)

10) Green Bay Packers (I know I'm from Chicago and I'm supposed to hate the Packers, which I do, but I have so much respect for Brett Favre and what he has accomplished. If the Packers advance it will be because of their Iron Man QB.

Look for Dallas and Seattle to both be knocked out of the playoffs this weekend.

2003 Notables:

2003 League MVP: Steve McNair

2003 Defensive MVP: Bruce Smith, wait no I'm just kidding. I really meant Ray Lewis.

2003 Most Improved Team: Dallas Cowboys

2003 Most Disappointing Team: Tampa Bay Bucs

Week 13 Power Rankings by jonathan flores

Weekly Commentary | Power Rankings

1) Kansas City Chiefs (11-1. All I really have to say for this team is that they are 11-1.)

2) New England Patriots (10-2. They made one of the most amazing goal line stops to win the game that you will ever see.)

3) Philadelphia Eagles (9-3. Every week they climb higher and higher. But I think this is the highest they will climb on my chart. Maybe they will prove me wrong.)

4) Indianapolis Colts (9-3. Made another amazing comeback on Sunday but this time fell just short, and I mean that literally, stopped at the 1 yard line.)

5) Tennessee Titans (9-3. Slipped a bit yesterday, and face a very important and tough game next week against the Colts.)

6) St. Louis Rams (9-3. Well they found themselves in a big way on Sunday and laid a whopping on the Vikings.)

7) Miami Dolphins (8-4. Exploded for 40 points against the Cowboys and exposed Dallas' defense as the over-hyped defense that they are.)

8) Carolina Panthers (8-4. Just ran in to the Eagles at the wrong time. They are still a good team. Their kicker let them down by missing 3 field goals.)

9) Seattle Seahawks (8-4. The Browns are a joke we know, but the Seahawks still just took them out back to the shed.)

10) Cincinnati Bengals (7-5. I have to admit I never thought I would have them in my top 10 list. Congratulations Cincy for returning to respectability.)

Week 14 Picks:

Green Bay over Chicago, San Diego over Detriot, Pittsburg over Oakland, Jacksonville over Houston NY Giants over Washington, Indy Colts over Tennessee Cincinnati over Baltimore, Philly over Dallas Minnesota over Seattle, Tampa Bay over New Orleans San Francisco over Arizona, NY Jets over Buffalo New England over Miami, Denver over Kansas City Carolina over Atlanta, St. Louis over Cleveland

Week 12 Power Rankings by jonathan flores

Weekly Commentary | Power Rankings

1) Kansas City Chiefs (10-1. They are the real deal. One more win and they can lay back till the playoffs.)

2) Indianapolis Colts (9-2. They found a way to win on Sunday even though I know I picked against them.)

3) Tennessee Titans (9-2. We'll see what their made of now that McNair is hurt for a couple of weeks. I think they keep rolling.

4) New England Patriots (9-2. They almost gave the game away to the Texans.)

5) Philadelphia Eagles (8-3. It seems like this team is on cruise control. I'm starting to eat my words on McNabb.)

6) St. Louis Rams (8-3. The record is a bit deceiving. They have played poorly the last three weeks. And will Mark Bulger please stop turning the ball over.)

7) Carolina Panthers (8-3. I know they lost on Sunday but I have so much respect for this team and what they have done this year.)

8) Miami Dolphins (7-4. Every game seems like a must win for this team. Dave Wansted better get them to the playoffs or he is gone.)

9) Dallas Cowboys (8-3. Bravo. I'll give them credit, I really didn't give them much of a chance against the Panthers.)

10) Seattle Seahawks (7-4. Sunday was one of the biggest collapses in NFL history. They had their QB throw 5 touchdowns and still lost. Please win if only to ensure that the Bucs do not make the playoffs.

Thanksgiving Day Picks:

Green Bay big over the Detroit Lions

Miami over the Dallas Cowboys in a close game
