Icyz Update

Never thought I’d be the one updating IPF J . For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Chung’s sister.

Random Thoughts

  • The War with Iraq was well worth it...but who’s next?...Syria? The entire Middle east? Canada?...haha only time will tell
  • Jacko – Ok, so maybe Michael Jackson is a little weird with all the sleepovers and climbing trees, but the media takes it way too far with him. Why can’t they leave the poor guy alone? He had a rough childhood...so he's being a kid now to make up for it..

  • Another MJ makin headlines ~ Sad to see Michael go AGAIN..wonder if he’ll make another comeback in a couple years...

  • Freedom fries- While homeless people sit out on the streets of the US, our lawmakers want to pass bills to change the names of food because of some country who only knows how to surrender...how lowely....

~ Movie Review ~

One of my favorite movies of all time is Gladiator. It won the Oscar for Best Picture and Russell Crowe snagged his first Oscar for Best Actor playing Maximus.

The story goes as Maximus Decimus Meridius, a Roman general who is respected among his armies and by the Roman Emperor himself. The son of this Emperor is jealous of Maximus, and orders his family to be murdered. Maximus escapes his own death and is sold as a slave. He becomes a gladiator, and fights in revenge for his family.

Why did I like this movie so much? Because it had a hero who didn’t think highly of himself and who had morals. He wasn’t afraid of the Emperor who could have him killed in an instant, or going to battle against other gladiators or armies. He was just a normal guy....well, maybe not that normal but you get the idea :-D. I’m no movie critic, but this movie is definitely worth seeing if you get the chance.

Other great flix – both Lord of the Rings movies, The Last of the Mohicans, Jurassic Park (had to include it :) )....& the list goes on....

The Treasure Hunt victim is…

::DRUMROLL::…

Sam John :-D

Sam was a completely random choice and I chose him cuz I’m the last person he’d think to choose him as the next victim. Lord of the Rings is all I’ll say about the pic I worked onJ

With all this news, don’t forget to talk to people whenever you get the chance...a person I knew died before I could ever really get the chance to talk to them more. And that’s it..:)

The End of an Air-a

Michael Jordan didn't have to come back and play for Washington.  A lot of people (including me), didn't want him to come back at all, b/c of his perfect ending in '98.

People said he would get embarrassed, and that he would be floor Jordan.  Well, he had his ups and downs these past 2 years, but my respect for him hasn't gone down, it's increased.

He was willing to risk messing up.  He put his legend on the line, and came up big.  His team on the other hand....

The Wizards let him down this year, BIG TIME.  On paper, we looked good, but paper doesn't win championships.  When a 40 yr old man has to dive for loose balls, while his team stands around, is just sad.  They will kick themselves later when they realize the opportunity they missed to make something out of this season.  But I'm grateful we got the opportunity.

I mean, when was the last time you saw anyone talking about the Wizards before MJ came?  Nobody was, and that's including me.  Before Jordan came, the Wizards were the Nuggets in blue uniforms.

Well, whatever happens next year is next year.  But for 2 years, Washington was part of basketball history.

Thanks MJ.

Crystal's Update -  Will be up manana.
