Becky and Vinod. The only two left. They couldn't keep their emotions
together because of what had happened to their friends. How could they have let them die like that? What could they do, let the raptors eat them also?
No, they had to escape! Although they managed to get away, how they could they live life any longer? Did they have a chance? Becky and Vinod talked and tried to answer this question while searching for some type of shelter.
"Vinod, we have to make it through this. I know we can survive, if it's the last thing we do." Vinod somberly nodded in agreement. It had been quite a while since his wife Grace died, but her face was so fresh in his memory.
All Becky could do was remember her family back at home, and wonder whether she would ever see them again. They consoled each other and continued to walk. "Becky look! It's a boardwalk. I'm sure there will be a boat or something! There has to be!" Vinod and Becky ran as fast as their feet would carry them to the end of the boardwalk, and sure enough, there was a little paddleboat. It was barely enough to carry two people. "We have to move fast. We don't have much time!," Becky said. There were no oars to be seen anywhere. What were they going to do? "Just use the foot paddle and move as fast as you can" Vinod yelled.
Suddenly, the sky started turning gray, and the sky clouded up and lightening cracked. They had been sitting in the boat for only 5 seconds when a thundering and violent shake erupted before them.
About 100 feet away was a gigantic T-Rex staring straight at them.
"PADDLE...PADDLE!!!!! HURRY" Becky yelled. But the T-Rex was already making it's way towards them. They started to paddle for the very life of them.
The T-Rex was causing the ground to shake viciously, and it was getting harder to paddle and they weren't moving anywhere because the waves were pulling them back to the boardwalk. "We need to paddle harder" shouted Vinod. The T-Rex was getting closer...closer..and closer. "FASTER, FASTER" Becky and Vinod yelled in unison. It felt as though the T-Rex was right behind them and...SUDDENLY...

| Chapter 4: Death
|
These strange creatures were soft, with no body armor, they would make easy prey. Instinctively she knew that Chris B was the weakest of the prey. He moved slowly and cradled his arm. The female raptor charged.
Almost at the same instant, Vinod and Becky bolted for the main gate. In their blood lust, two of the raptors collided while trying to get at their fleeing prey. By the time they reached the main gate, Vinod and Becky were safely behind it. Clawing and scratching at the gate made no difference. Their fury now doubled, the raptors gave up and went after the two remaining prey.
Frank was pinned underneath the killing machine. The raptors hot breath and dripping saliva all but sealed his fate. It was over, and Frank knew it. But they wouldn’t take him without a fight. Mustering all of his remaining strength, Frank hit the raptor in its leg with his fist.
The Raptor didn’t even flinch.
Almost amused by the vain effort, the raptor raised one of its claws and sliced open Frank’s stomach. Frank screamed in pain. Chris B fared no better. After seeing the raptor pin Frank, and knowing that 2 raptors now blocked the main gate, Chris ran for the jungle. But before he even took three steps, the raptor had him. Launching itself from its position, the raptor landed on Chris’s back, snapping his spine from the waist down.
Feeling his life slip away, Frank glanced at the wound. Feebly hitting the raptor with his fist, Frank could feel his life slipping away. But not yet. He was still alive when he was being eaten.
Unable to feel the raptor eating his legs, Chris lay face down on the ground. But before he slipped away, Chris noticed that Vinod and Becky had managed to make it through the gate. They had sacrificed themselves for their friends. Hopefully, it wasn’t in vain.

Binu attacked Soy. Side stepping to the left to meet his charge, Soy kicked Binu in his side. Wincing in pain, but still moving forward, Binu tackled her to the ground. The Colt 45 clattered out and dangled at the edge of the walkway. Sam and Crystal were tired of this bickering and refused to intervene.
In the ensuing struggle for the weapon, Binu grabbed it first. But in his jubilation of having the gun, he didn’t watch his back. Soy pushed him over the side. Binu fell with his back to the water, he didn’t have much time, but he had enough.
BOOM
The gun fired. The slug hit Soy square in the chest, and she fell forward into the water before Sam or Crystal could grab her.
There was some splashing. Sam ran around trying to find a life preserver, but by the time he did, there was only the smooth sea.
Soon, a severed hand floated up to the surface, but that was all. Two more people were now dead.
They could see the boat in the harbor, but they had no means of getting to it. “How are we going to reach the boat!??” Sam yelled in frustration. Moving along the dock, Crystal saw it first. “Sam, look! A paddleboat!”
Moving quickly into the small craft, Sam and Crystal began paddling toward the boat in the harbor. Sam glanced back in the direction of their fallen friends. What a waste he thought to himself. They paddled on.

It took them half an hour to paddle to the abandoned boat in the harbor. The ship was a medium sized vessel, it looked to be a yacht of some sort. Upon reaching it, Sam rushed to the bridge to try and call for help, but the ship was powered down. They had to find the generators! “Crystal, look for the generator room, I will keep looking for a phone”
As Crystal made her way into the interior of the ship, she had to feel her way along the railing b/c of the lack of lighting. Almost by request, she stumbled across a flashlight lying on the floor. Clicking it on and moving down the hallway, she noticed a sign on one of the doors that said Engine Room. Upon entering the room, she noticed 2 skeletons lying right in the doorway. Moving very slowly past them, Crystal noticed a big red button that said engine re-start. She pressed it. Nothing happened. She pressed it again. Still nothing.
Realizing that there was nothing else she could do, Crystal made her way back to the upper deck. That was when it happened. The boat began to shake and a loud rumble emanated from below. The engines were coming back! Neither of them knew how to pilot the yacht, but Sam was determined to learn fast. They had come too far and lost too much to give up now.
