It's Good to be Back
Okay everyone, Happy Belated New Year!
It’s good to be back
after my extended leave of absence.
Many thanks to my boss, the one and only Chung Lao for being so
understanding.
As you may all be aware by now, I recently entered the holy
state of matrimony. On December 17, 2005 to be
exact. All I can say is that God has been so good to me and has
blessed me beyond all of my expectations.
For those of you
who want some
details about the wedding,
the morning started out cold and rainy, but the rain tapered off
towards the afternoon. My only concern about the rain prior to
the wedding had been in regards to the safety of the guests as
they were driving, but since everyone was okay, I wouldn’t have
wanted it any other way. The day was perfect.
I woke up pretty
early, at about 4:10 a.m. ,
an hour ahead of time, and couldn’t seem to fall back asleep. I
finally dosed off for about 20 minutes, and I felt like I had
slept forever. I could no longer stand it and got out of bed,
took a shower, and headed over to the hairdresser’s house. I
came back to my house with plenty of time to eat breakfast, read
my Bible, pray with my mother, and receive some phone calls. I
felt an incredible peace that morning.
When the time came to head over to the church, it was still
raining, and I had decided beforehand that I would get dressed
in the church if that were the case. As that was the case, I
took my wedding dress, got in the car with my mother and
grandmother, and went to the church. We got there early and the
photographer was already there. The florist got there shortly
thereafter, and we were set. My ministers came and prayed for
me, and right before I walked out of the dressing room, my
father prayed for me.
It was a sweet moment for me.
We walked into the church, and my heart was beating very fast,
as you can imagine. My father started telling me jokes on the
way up the altar to help me relax, and made me laugh, which
helped me, feel much better.
And so, as the stories say, the couple lived happily ever after.
In our case, the couple is living happily and practically and
not having unreasonable expectations of each other, and trying
to keep Christ the head of their home…J
Until Next Time.
