2003: The Year in Review

A.  You know, if you had told me a short year ago, that I would have a Remembrance section on this site, and that 3 people, and YOUNG PEOPLE at that, would have been added to it, I wouldn't of believed you.  But its true.  It just goes to show me, and everyone out there, that tomorrow isn't promised to ANYONE.

Recap:  It's been a year when the U.S. has gone to war, and lost hundreds of its young soldiers.  A year where Iraq has lost thousands of ITS young soldiers.  A year when spider hole became a house hold name, and a picture of an unkempt tyrant filled the airwaves.  It's been a year when millions of people went through a blackout.

We watched with horror as 7 brave astronauts disappeared over the Texas sky.

We witnessed the fall to earth of Kobe Bryant, and the rise of one Lebron James.  We witnessed the conclusion of possibly the greatest movie trilogy of all time, and SO, SO MUCH MORE.

What is in store for us in 2004?  We shall see.

B.  As you know, Susan didn't update on Friday.  She has come down with the flu.  Hopefully we'll have her back in time for her next update.

Dr. Lao recommends the Tropicana Pure Premium.

C.  In other IPF news, Vinod is moving to a correspondent role.  WHAT, you ask?  Well, instead of writing on the weekends, Vinod will be writing more pieces for The IndaPhatFarm Post, as well as conducting interviews.  Let me ease all concerns, Vinod isn't going anywhere, he is just moving into this different role.

D.  NFL PLAYOFFS 2003:  Brett Favre.  You know, I live in a supposed "football town".  But in reality, I live in a town with some professional football chumps.  People that look at themselves every week and can't figure out why their not winning.  Well, you know what, let me point them in the direction of one Brett Favre.

This man played football on Monday Night, just a few hours after his father died.  If he didn't play that night, NO ONE would of thought any less of him, BUT HE PLAYED.  Not only did he play, he played a HUGE game, and won it for his team (who amazingly, are now in the playoffs).  One word, Legend.

Along with the Green Bay Packers, I have to go with a different MD team, the Baltimore Ravens.  Lewis and Lewis, as in Ray and Jamal are men among boys.  Also, Brian Billick is one heck of a coach.

In conclusion, I know I've been hard on the Redskins this year, but I'm going to stick with them.  The Skins have got the best fans in the country, and the BEST FIGHT SONG, and I believe that one day, ONE DAY, they will make us proud.  Having said that though, I stand by my previous statements in that Steve Spurrier HAS TO GO.  He is too laid back to coach in the NFL.

Happy New Year everybody.  Expect BIG THINGS in 2004.

Five Card Tango, NY Revivals, C & D

A.  Merry Christmas to all, and boy do I have a gift for you.  Can you say, NEW MEDIA?.  Justin V has done it again.  100% credit goes to Justin (Vinod's brother) and his crew.  This guy has got some serious talent on showcase.  Word of warning, this file is 21 MB's, so if any of you are still using dial-up, if you start dling now, you may have it by Christmas.

More media to come.

B.  NY Revivals.  I'll save the big recap for NY natives Binu and Vinod.  But overall, it was a good trip, and I came away more encouraged.  (even though I wasn't feeling the traffic around the Verrezano and Goethals bridges).  But still, it was good to see everybody.

C.  FYI:  YAR 2004 will be held on January 2-4.

D.  It's a Wonderful Life:  You know, there aren't that many movies that are timeless.  But Jimmy Stewart's performance, and the overall feel of this film is.  It never seems to get old to watch.

Merry Christmas to all, and to all, a good night.

2nd Interview, Saddam Fallout, C and D

A.. The second of my special 2 week edition of  The Tonight Show, has been posted.  Be sure to check out Stan T's interview.

B.More Fallout from Saddam.  You know, if you didn't know about Saddam, you'd almost feel sorry for the guy.  Those sagging cheeks and those defeated eyes.  The look of complete bewilderment.  That is, until you realize that this man has killed hundreds of thousands of people.

There is one thing I don't get though.  Why did Saddam allow himself to be taken alive?  He spent his whole life perfecting this image of a powerful person, meant to terrify and thereby exploit his people.  But anyone that viewed the footage of him getting examined, (Say ahhh Saddam), would realize that in those few seconds, his life long image had been shattered.  Let's face it, his image was all he had left, and yet he didn't fire a shot.  Why would he allow himself to be embarrassed and laughed at by the entire world?

Hitler knew that if he was ever caught, he would be paraded around the world in complete humiliation, BEFORE he was publicly executed.  I'm not glorifying Hitler here, but you understand what I'm saying.

What do you think?  I just find the whole thing curious.

C as in Christmas.Ladies and Gentlemen, be prepared.  Five Card Tango makes its world premiere right here on IPF.  Catch it next Monday, as my Christmas gift to you.

D as in Defeat.A few fans who remained near the end of the game threw snowballs at the home team, according to Redskins players.  "They should have thrown a glacier out there" Smoot said.  "We stunk.  We stunk the place up.  They're tired of it.  I'm tired of it."  - Washington Post

"We Got Him" - The Fall of Saddam

A.Boy, does he need a shape up.  You know, its very fitting that the tyrant, the man who built palaces and statues in his name, gassed and murdered hundreds of thousands, is caught looking like a homeless bum, living in a hole in the ground.  Come interrogation time, hit him once for me guys.

B.. U.S. intelligence is improving (but has a long way to go).  Props to Tony Blair (a great leader, and probably the best speaker of recent memory), and to George W, who stuck with it, and finally got his guy.  GW, by the way, is going to be extremely hard to beat in 2004.

C.. Stay tuned for Vinod's Sunday Night Special.

The Tonight Show - 2 Week Special

A.The Tonight Show Returns.   Thanks for your patience all, and I'm going to make it worth your wait.  I have an IPF special for you, available factory direct, straight to you, only for the holidays.  Today, Blessy Z has been interviewed, and Stan T is lined up for next Monday.  Keep it locked.

B.Happy 100,000.  This IPF milestone is worth mentioning b/c the last time I talked about hits, we were at 10, 000.  We've come a long way.  Much Love.

C.Sick of shoveling?  Listen, I have had it up to here with shoveling snow.  If anybody out there has a snow blower, send it to me over IM.  Also, remember to delegate the workload.  Let as many people as you can enjoy the experience.

D.Lastly, I received a phone call last night from a "certain person",  that proceeded to gloat about his Philadelphia Eagles.  To this person, I have only THIS to say.

DC Revivals 2003: Pics & Highlights

A.Sup all, hope everyone had a good weekend.  I've got  93 pictures for you  from DC Revivals 2003.  The pics have been divided up into 3 sections, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.  Shout out to Paul Moses, and Shibu Thomas for sending me some of the pics from this event.  Enjoy.

B.Overall, I think the revivals were good.  Here are the highlights:

The Bowlathon:  Yeah, Crystal wasn't kidding, she won out against myself, Ben, Frank, and Sony.  We had our humble pie that night.

Bible Reading:  I need to read my Bible more.  We can't call ourselves Christians unless we read and understand the Bible.  There is just no disputing it.

The Vengeance of P-MO:   Paul, rest easy man, we've got your back.

The Grammy goes to Ama P:  I would dare to say that no one in DC has done more for the youth choir than Ama.

Jello Pudding Cake:  I had the best cake I've tasted in a long time over the weekend.  It's cake mix that has Jello pudding mix in it, and it was coated with chocolate frosting.  Mmmmmmmm.  Is it better than crescent rolls you ask?  No.  But even so, you will be doing yourself a favor to make one.

C.Lastly, for all of Brenda's fans, have no fear, she will be updating on Friday.

Pillsbury Crescent Rolls & JFK in 2004

A.First off, have a good Thanksgiving everybody, and remember that as you laugh it up with family and friends, and are enjoying that stuffing and turkey, remember to save me the last Pillsbury crescent roll.  Lao has spoken.

B.Would you have voted for John F. Kennedy in 2004?

Recently, the History channel had a poll on their website to the effect of, “If JFK was running for president in 2004, knowing full well about his personal exploits, would you vote for him?”  70% of the voters said they would.

JFK has always been an enigma to me.  On the one hand, he provided the country with new hope, and a glimpse of what everyone can be, and on the other hand, his personal life was anything but Camelot.  He slept with enough women to make Bill Clinton look like a choir boy.  I mean, forget the fact that he was married to one of the classiest, most beautiful, elegant woman ever to walk the face of the earth.

On the one hand, he’s a great speaker, and motivator, and on the other hand, one wonders how far he would of gotten if not for his father’s pocket book.

He's an enigma, difficult to read.  I think cool detachment is a good description of him.  So, all in all, looking at him as a leader, was he a great president?  The answer is yes.  Would I vote for him in 2004 over George W?  I would have to say yes.  Don't get me wrong, GWB is doing the best job he can, and he's been under estimated at almost every turn.  But if you want to talk about leadership, and inspiring a nation in a time of crisis, the nod has to go to JFK.  Also, if you want to talk policy, JFK was really one of the last of the old conservative, and moderate Democrats.  He would not fit in well with the Dems of today.

C.  As far as his assassination goes, I believe that Oswald acted alone.  Oswald was a nobody, with no connections, a failing family, and a marxist attitude.  But he did have a gun, and he knew how to use it  I think people get caught up in the conspiracy when they ask themselves this question:

"How can someone as insignificant as Oswald (with a $12 dollar rifle) silence someone as significant as JFK."

As hard as that is to take.  That is how it went down.

1st Annual Golden Shoe Battle

A.  All right, this past weekend, I had the distinct pleasure of being involved in the battle for the Golden Shoe.  Although my team ended up losing to birthday boy Sam J, 5-2, we WERE able to knock some opposing players out of the game.  Sam, how's that leg?  Check out some pics:

B. as in BENGALS?Cincinnati has been the graveyard of countless NFL coaches and teams over the past 12 years.  There have been more jokes cracked about the Bengals than in THE history of The Tonight Show.  But you know what they did on Sunday?

THEY BEAT THE 9-0 KANSAS CITY CHIEFS.

You know what the best part is?  Chad Johnson, a receiver for the Bengals, guaranteed the win.  Unbelievable

You know what the worst part is?  The Bengals now have a better record then the team I will no longer mention.  Stephen Davis got the last laugh after all.

C.Houston Revival pics go up manana courtesy of one Brenda B.  Don't even think about changing the channel.

On the Table: Monday Afternoon

Sup everyone.  Hope you all are at least holding the fort on this Monday afternoon.  Hang in there, we'll do our best to get you through this new work week.

A.. I am pleased to announce that Brenda has begun work on a new piece in which she goes back in time and meets her great grandmother.  Look for it.

B.. Also, a new independent film, entitled "Five Card Tango" from Justin Varghese, is in the works.  Look for it next month.

C.  The situation in Iraq is getting worse with each passing day.  I was listening to Chris Core (a local radio host on WMAL) this past Friday, and he made some good points.  The American people are becoming obsessed with instantaneous results.  People want this "thing" in Iraq over with RIGHT NOW.  Looking at the polls, a lot of people seem un-willing to see this thing through.

Here is my take:  there is no quick fix to this.  You've got the foreign fighters streaming into Iraq now, ready for their jihad, plus a population that has never seen the benefits of democracy and is therefore skeptical.  I supported the war, and I'm not going to back down from that, and yes, the Bush administration could of done a better job in their post-war planning.

The thing is, who can plan for EVERY contingency?  War is not a pleasant experience for anyone involved.  The Iraqi people, for instance, have had some major concerns, I mean if you didn't have power or running water in your house for a few weeks, you'd be mad as hell too.

D.. Finally, Joju/Betty's wedding pics will be up THIS FRIDAY.  You have my word.  Thanks for being patient.

A Disgusted Redskins Fan

A.  You know what, forget the fact that we have no offensive line, and no pass protection.  Forget the fact that we have no defensive line.  A sack?  What is that?  Forget the fact that our Quarterback (who, by the way, is THE MAN)...

...will be dead by the end of the season.  Forget the fact that we have no tacklers, and forget the fact that we have no HEART.  Forget all of it.  You know what gets me?

WE LOST TO THE COWBOYS...

Our arch enemies gave us a butt whooping for the ages, and you know what the worst part of it is?  We could of won the game!  They gift wrapped it for us in the first half.  THEY GAVE US 3 turnovers.  We couldn't of asked for a better script.  But did we take advantage of it?  Noooooo.

Steve Spurrier is not the man for the job in Washington.  Say all you want about him, but the Redskins aren't playing like a motivated team, and that reflects on Steve Spurrier.  I know stability is a concern in DC, but we haven't had a winner roaming the sidelines since Joe Gibbs.  We need some alternatives here.  The Washington Redskins bring in more revenue than any other team in the league, and for what?  This is garbage, and its unacceptable.

Unless something significant happens, I am done talking about the Redskins.  That's all folks.

FootBrawl 2003

A.  Here in DC, playing football is akin to brushing our teeth.  Can't live without it.  We'll hit you like LaVar Arrington and knock those Giants jersey's right off your backs.  "Chris, is that a threat?"  You better believe it is.

Now, over the past decade there have been countless games played, with new generations of players coming up every year.  But up until today, there has never been a pictorial record of the gladiators in the heat of battle.  Let's see who you recognize.  ENJOY.  Reminder:  Most of these pictures have been purposely left at their size to give you a better sense of the field.  Click on any of the pictures below to go to the actual FootBrawl 2003 section with captions.

B.  KEEP THE STREAK ALIVE:  Today marks the 8th consecutive day that IPF has been updated.  What's so special about that you ask?  Just the fact that it's never been done before in the 2+ year history of this website.

C.. And last but not least, don't miss out on Susan's inaugural update, manana.

Update Schedule

A.  When v2003 was ringing in my head, I had one mandate that I was determined to stick to.  We need to have more consistent updates.  Over the past 2 + months, I think we have held true to that.  So, FYI, I have broken down the weekly updates, and they are as follows:

Monday :  Yours Truly will be updating.  Call me Chung. (MD)

Tuesday :  Brenda and Susan will update, rotating every other week. (TX & MD)

Wednesday :  Binu will be updating.  Honda Accord still for sale. (NY)

Thursday :  BENJ FOR PRESIDENT.  Benj's update day.  (OH)

Friday:  Crystal will up updating twice a month with new Pictures.  (MD)

Weekend:  Live from New York, its Saturday Night!  Vinod's update day. (NY)

B.  Redskins Falling Fast:  The Bill's didn't just beat the Redskins on Sunday, they KILLED US.  They took our lunch money.  They punched us in the mouth, hit us over the head with a bat, and then called out our momma.  Ok, I think you get the idea.

The Skins are playing with NO HEART, NO DRIVE, NO SENSE OF URGENCY.  Patrick Ramsey, one of the few players with some heart, will not last the season.  I'm going to call Steve Spurrier out on this one, its his job to get his team motivated before the game.  Just look at the Cowboys!  That team is not as talented as the Redskins, but b/c of Bill Parcells, they are 5-1.

New Webmasters

A.  The Associated Press is reporting that IndaPhatFarm has signed 2 new webmasters for an undisclosed amount.  I am officially confirming this rumor as fact.  Brenda B and Susan K are now officially on board IPF.

Why the new webmasters, you ask?  Well, we are dedicated to providing the most consistent content possible.  Since Tuesday's have been vacant, filling them with 2 interesting women was without question, the way to go.

Brenda and Susan will rotate updating the site, every other week.  They begin what should be a memorable run, this Tuesday.  Also, I will have the complete IPF update schedule for you on Monday.  Look for it.

B.  Vinod and Binu have begun work on a joint article.  Expect the same in your face edge, that you've come to enjoy.

IndaPhatFarm.com - Welcome Home

New Affiliate - PtGigs.com

A.  Looking for a part-time job in the DC-Metro area?  Well I've got the website for you.  Run by Richard Harrigan and Keegan Sims, PtGigs.com is your one stop shop for a part-time job, while your in school, or when you're on break.  So make sure you check it out.

pleased

B.  China is set to launch their first manned space flight soon, and if successful, will become only the third nation to put a man in space.  Who cares, you ask?  Well, think about this, where did China get the missile technology to be able to put a man in space?

C Bucs 35, Redskins 13.  Yeah, I know.  Not only did we get beat on Sunday, the Bucs made Fedex Field their new home away from home.  Patrick Ramsey is getting slaughtered out there.  You know how many times our QB's were sacked in this game?  6 times.  And the Bucs?  0.  That's right, NONE.

You put me in there at defensive end, and I will get you more pressure on the QB than the Skins are getting right now.  Bruce Smith needs to get his sack record, and then the Redskins need to show him the door.  It's over.

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT THIS THURSDAY.  LOOK FOR IT.

The NFL Rundown & New Power Rankings

A.  I'm pleased to announce the arrival of an all new section, The NFL Rundown.  Headed by Jonathan Flores, this weekly updated section is going to hit all of you football fans like Ray Lewis, with in depth, and hard hitting analysis of every week in the 2003 NFL season.  The first issue premieres THIS WEEK....

B.  Power Rankings: Ok, there has been a lot of smack and controversy about which team is ranked where for the upcoming Tourney.  Check out Tourney 2004 for the new rankings.  I think you'll find them pretty fair and balanced.

C.  Heart Attack 'Skins:  The Washington Redskins are a good team.  They are.  But they are giving their fans heart attacks.  They doze off for the first 3 quarters of every game, and then come alive when the pressure is on in the 4th.  In the case of our 27-25 loss to the Eagles, it was too little, too late.  We have to play a complete game.

Also, the penalties are killing us.  When we have 6 false starts in a game, we don't deserve to win.  This is really becoming a problem and we're losing games b/c of it.  I think Steve Spurrier needs to get in the faces of his players that are screwing up.  Just shrugging it off, and getting frustrated isn't going to cut it.

New Interview & Tourney 2003 Officially Cancelled

A.  Interview #12 with Sona G has been posted in The Tonight Show.  Make sure you check it out.

B.  Ok, after careful deliberation, Tourney 2003 has been cancelled in favor of Tourney 2004, and here is why.  Chicago, Houston, and Newark, have all stated that they can't make it for an '03 Tourney b/c many players are in school, which is completely understandable.  Having said that, ALL of the churches have expressed the desire for a SUMMER 2004 TOURNEY

Now some of you will say, why don't we just have a tourney with the teams that will play?.  The problem with that is, whoever wins the Tourney will have a stigma on their title b/c not every team played.  So their legitimacy will be questioned.  Notice how even now Chi-town and H-town question Philly's 2002 title.  Who wants that?  If your the best, you need to play in a tourney where all teams are present.  This way, no one can question any team's title run.  Make sense?

Also, we're not talking 1-2 teams here that can't make it, 3 churches have confirmed that they can't come, and I have been informed that most of the remaining teams will have to scrape together squads that have had limited playing time together.

There are other reasons too.  Quite honestly, if we have a Tourney now, its going to be hastily put together, and with most teams showing a so-so approach to the whole thing, it doesn't seem worth it.

By waiting for Summer 2004, we can have a real Tourney, one that will rival any organization out there.  Also, by waiting, teams can come up with practice schedules, and finalize their rosters.  Now rest assured, we are not backing down from the challenge, and leading up to the '04 Tourney, there will be rosters w/pictures posted, travel info, forms, etc, etc.

Lastly, the highly anticipated New Power Rankings will be posted on October 6, 2003.  Where will your team place?  Keep it locked.

New Media - SS Anniversary 2003 (DC)

A.  I've got 4 clips for you from the Sunday School Anniversary.  Download these classic clips from one of the funniest anniversaries of recent memory.

B.  Tourney Update:  Ok all, its looking more and more likely that Tourney 2003 will be scrapped in favor of Tourney 2004.  3 churches have contacted me stating that they cannot attend an '03 Tourney.  I will have the full details in my next update.

The Greatest Game

A.  My player of the week has to be Jamal Lewis of the Ravens.  Not only did he blast the Browns before the game by saying he would break the NFL's single season rushing record on them, he ACTUALLY DID IT.  That is an unbelievable feat.  I can't even tell you how hard it is to say your going to do something that's never been done before, in the face of your enemy, and actually pull it off.  He rushed for 295 yards!!

B.  Now, the Redskins.  My Redskins.  You know, I'll admit I didn't think the Skins were going to beat Atlanta in their house.  At one point Atlanta was even up 17-0 on us, and I was like, "this is over", same old Skins.  But guess what happened?  The Washington Redskins actually showed some heart, and rallied to win the game 33-31.

A lesser team would of given up and called it a night.  But for the first time in who knows how long, our team sucked it up and got it done.  Now I know its just 2 games into the season, and we need to work on keeping our penalties down, and keeping our QB upright, but for the first time in 12 YEARS, the Redskins are 2-0.  Enough said.

September 9, 2003 - Chung Lao

On My Heart

A.  Please note that the August updates have been archived in the Old News section, which is inside of the Archives section.

BYou know, its easy to get caught up in the everyday business of our lives and forget that only 2 short years ago, passengers on the various hijacked airliners were witnessing their last moments on earth, from their windows, as their planes slammed into the WTC, Pentagon, and a field in Pennsylvania

That people trapped in the upper floors of the world trade center, climbed outside of their windows in an attempt to get away from the flames and smoke.  They must of seen all of the people down below, safety deceptively seeming within their grasp.  To the horror of the entire world, many jumped.

What went through their minds as they fell?  Did they know that their lives were over?  Or were they hoping for a miracle?  It all seems so unreal. Rudy Guliani's words rang true when asked about the number of casualties, "It will be more that we can bear".

Never EVER allow yourself to get complacent, or push what happened out of your mind.

Remember.

Tourney 2003

A.  OK, first of all, the tourney HAS NOT been cancelled, so let me put that rumor to rest.  Having said that, here is the thing.  We have a couple of options, in terms of possible dates for the tourney.  Keep the following issue in mind, we need to leave atleast one month for people to book airline/bus tickets in advance.

Sometime in late October, any time in November (Revival meetings in DC?), or December.  2003 is still the year, so lets iron out a date THIS YEAR.

The following people are the team reps for their respective locales.

Brooklyn - Roy, Yonkers - Silby, Houston - Benson, Philly - Rocky, Chicago - Josh, San Francisco - Josh C, Staten Island - Vinod, DC - Chris, Newark - Jaice T.

I need you all to contact either me (Chris) at chunglao@hotmail.com,or Vinod at vpv1227@hotmail.com ASAP so we can gauge different dates.

WE NEED TO GET THE BALL ROLLING NOW.  So please check with your team members as to what dates are suitable and contact either me or Vinod.  The ball is in your court.

BNFL Preview '03:  It's that time of year.  With the regular season under a week away, its time for Chung's Predictions If you haven't figured this out by now, football is my favorite sport, and the Washington Redskins are my team, naturally.  Now, I'm not naive enough to think that the Skins will go to the Super Bowl this year, but I do think they have a legitimate shot at the first round of the playoffs.

In the AFC, I am picking the Browns (b/c of Kelly Holcomb), Titans (a healthy Steve McNair), and the Patriots (Tom Brady has looked sharp).  My sleeper team is the Kansas City Chiefs (a healthy Priest Holmes is almost unstoppable).

In the NFC, I am picking the Rams (a healthy Kurt Warner), Bucs (defending champs), and .  My sleeper team is the Carolina Panthers (Stephen Davis is going to run wild, mark my words).  If Mike Vick can come back soon enough, then the Falcons will contend as well.

This Thursday, the Redskins-Jets kick off the NFL season.  I am picking the Skins by a touchdown.

Speaking of which, I will be posting a recap after every Redskins game with my own personal touch as to what went right/wrong.  So look forward to that.

Special Double Interview

No need to rub your eyes, your not seeing double.  Brenda and Liza B, from Houston, have been interviewed for The Tonight Show.  So take some time out of your day and read these excellent interviews.

Some Things:

A.  Reminder: Please send all pictures to Crystal.  Check out the contact page for the full breakdown of each webmaster's role/e-mail address.

B.  Back to School: those have got to be the worst 3 words in the English language.  Enough said.  More Later.

The Takeout Trailer

Justin V.  This up and coming creative artist has compiled his very first trailer based on The Matrix.  So MAKE SURE you download this clip, which is available in Media.  This is the first of many clips you can look forward to from this up and comer.

Some Thoughts:

A.  Done for the season?  Michael Vick broke his leg on Saturday in a preseason game against the Ravens.  I can't help but be disappointed by this.  This guy was about the set the NFL on fire with his incredible skills.

Although he'll probably be back on the field this season, we will have to wait till next season to see Vick in his true form.

B.  I read an article in the Washington Post which sampled the reactions of people around the world to the Northeast Blackout.  Many Iraqis were quoted as saying "Now the Americans know how we feel".  They do have a point in saying that, but they are also now a free people.  Now they know how we feel.  :)

C.  FYI: Vinod will be updating the main page.  Expect his first update this weekend.

So don't touch that mouse.

Reminder

Sup all.  I hope you are enjoying the increasing # of updates.  Its the same IPF flavor, but with a different style.  :)  Now, let me get some operational stuff out of the way.

Couple of things:

A.  If you haven't already done so, please check out the tribute to Blessan Samuel in the Remembrance section.  It is very important that we remember his life, and learn from it.

B.  Also, remember that all upcoming content for the current month is listed in the COMING SOON section, which is on the right hand side.  The content that is currently up on the site is bolded in orange.

C.  About the Mailing List.  Remember that after you sign up for the list, you have to go into your e-mail account and confirm the subscription.  You do this by clicking on a link in the e-mail.  If you don't do this, you won't receive any IPF e-mails.  A couple of people are stuck in pending b/c they haven't clicked on the link in their e-mail.

Much more to come all.

The Legacy Continues

Right off the bat, let me put all anxiety & uncertainty to rest. IndaPhatFarm.com isn't going anywhere.  After 2 + years, it was time to take this to the next level.

Therefore:  Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you, IndaPhatFarm v2003.  New design, new content, but with the same IPF flavor.  True, the old IPF is gone, but you're going to like this new version even better.

Where do I start?  Over the past couple of months, I've been slowly adding/editing content and working on this new design, and it's finally done.

Important Note:  The Pictures section will be up shortly.  In the mean time, have a look around.  Also, a new Message Board is in the works, so please bear with me for the immediate future.  Appreciate it.

New Sections:  Remembrance, Contact, Mailing List, Site Info

Updated Sections:  All.  That's right all.  Every original section has been touched up for v2003.  From Birthdays to Pictures to The Tonight Show and The IndaPhatFarm Post.

With the new design, comes a new way of running things.  IPF is now run by 5 webmasters, and they are: yours truly, Chris aka Chung Lao, Benj A (BSMOOTH), Vinod V (from TheVargheses.com fame) has joined up, Crystal G (sister), and Binu V (friend).  Let me iterate that I'm not going anywhere.

I will be overseeing this new project as head of all website operations.

This new setup will ease the workload off of me, while bringing you fresh perspectives and content.  Please see the Contact page for a more in depth look at what each webmaster's role is.

I want to take this time to thank the entire IPF squad for your help.  Your input has been invaluable.  I also want to specifically thank Jaeson A, Susy S, and Sharon T, for their valuable advice and help with some sections of this website.

Last but NOT LEAST, I want to thank all of you that continue to visit IPF and support this website.  v2003 is for you.

The best is yet to come all.  Keep it locked in.
