A Kingly Name - Part II

If you haven't read Part I of A Kingly Name, or would just like a recap, click here.  Here is Part II, enjoy:

He was cold, and frightened
by the presence of something so forbidding. Speaking into the darkness, he asked, "WHO ARE YOU? I don't know why you've come after me…you've got the wrong guy here!"  Silence.  Again he nervously spoke, "Look, my name is William Aidan Falco…You want my social security number with that?"  Again, there was silence for what seemed an eternity, abruptly broken by these words: "Identity. That is key, Frederick."  A crashing sound was heard in the direction of  the road.  Will turned, only for a moment, to see what it was.  He returned to his stance, only to discover that the cloaked figure had disappeared....

Still in
shock by what had happened, he noticed something at the corner of his eye.  It lay by the icy ground near the trunk of his car.  He slowly moved towards it....and there rested a box, looking to be hundreds of years old. At the same time he remembered the movies he had seen, with the slightest touch or opening of a box setting off a bomb inside it. Bravely he picked the box up, as it shook in his hands from his fear. He placed it in the trunk of his car just for "safe" keeping, whatever that meant.  With that, he drove home as fast as he could.

Slowly removing the box from his car, he took it inside his home. Placing it on a table, he
stared at it for a long time..."Should I open this thing?....Why did he call me Frederick?..."  After convincing himself that he had to see what was inside, he decided to open it. With his hands shaking, he lifted the lid of the box as carefully as he could...and what he saw inside, was.....

:) Stay tuned for Part III
Take care,
Icy

A Kingly Name...

I'll be your story teller here at IPF.  Just sit back, and enjoy.....

The unforgiving winter left none alone, the trees with their branches frozen solid, the snow covered ground.  He always took notice of these things, having walked this way every evening after work…but something was unsettling about this night…

Finally reaching his car, he began to unlock the door.  He found his keys quickly, being that the only source of light was from the moon.  Locking his doors immediately after, he felt as though someone, or something was watching him.  In his right side mirror, a cloaked figure stood, motioning him to come out.  He froze…”Do I get out?  What if he’s got a gun?”  As these thoughts raced through his mind, something within him felt the need to know what the figure wanted.  Slowly exiting the car, with his Club hidden behind his back, he slowly walked towards the formless, obscured figure.  Mr. Frederick MacArthur the third... I have something for you,” the mysterious voice spoke…

Tune in next time for the continuation of this ongoing story..
