Introduction:
If you arrive late,
then the games you missed will be automatically added into your
Loss column, and the team you were supposed to play, will get a
free Win. If you are not at the
gym by 11 am, you forfeit the tournament completely.
Deposits:
Deposits are
non-refundable.
Regular
Season Format:
Each team will play a total
of 7 games, which are 20 minutes each, with a 2
minute half time, and
with 2, 30 second timeouts per team.
1st
Round Playoff Format:
The
top 4 teams advance to the playoffs based on their regular
season records. The 1st round games will be 20 minutes
long, with a 2 minute halftime, and 2, 30 second timeouts.
The
Final (Championship)
Format & Rules:
The
Championship game will be 24 minutes long, with a 3 minute
halftime, and 2, one minute
timeouts per team.
Timeouts:
As previously stated,
in the regular season, each team gets 2, one minute timeout per
game. In the first round of the playoffs, both
teams get 2 timeouts.
If you don’t use your
timeout in one half, you lose it, it doesn’t carry over,
except in the championship game.
Subs:
Subs can only go in on
dead balls, and they have to be at the scorers table.
Subs cannot walk from the players bench to the court.
Fouls:
A total of 3 fouls per
player, in the regular season.
In the 1st
round of the playoffs, it's 4 fouls per player.
In the finals, it's 5
fouls per player.
****If
you exceed your foul limit, you are out for the game.****
Referees:
Official
Refs - Will be officiating the
entire event. So please be aware of the appropriate basketball
rules such as 3 second violations, back court, etc,
etc….
Free
Throws & 3 point shots:
In
the regular season, if you accumulate 3 fouls, you are
out for the game. Also, b/c there are no free throws, 3
pointers will count as 2 during the regular season.
*In
the Playoffs, all official rules apply, regarding fouls and 3
pointers, etc.
Tie-Breakers:
If 2 teams have the
same record at the end of the regular season, the team that won
the match-up during the regular season, will get the higher
seed.

In the regular season, if at the end of the game, there
is a tie, there is no game stoppage, both teams will continue
playing, and the first team to score a basket, wins the game.
It will be sudden death.
2.
Playoff Tie-Breakers:
A.
First Round: 2
minute tie breaker, if there is still a tie after 2 minutes,
then sudden death will apply.
B.
Finals: 3
minute tie breaker, if there is still a tie, then the game will
continue for up to an additional 3 overtimes, and if at the end
of that, the score is still tied, then sudden death will apply.
